Environmental Policies
Fox Tire has a long-standing commitment to the environment from its humble beginnings selling used tires. This is one example of recycling that goes back to the 1950's.
In more recent times, we have installed the first green roof in Western New York and arguably the first one on a retail tire store in the United States. We have worked with many environmental organizations including ReTree Western New York, on which Eric Fox serves as a board member. ReTree Western New York has a goal of planting 30,000 trees in the next ten years. Also, Fox Tire is working with the City of Buffalo to turn vacant lots on the city's East Side into "pocket parks" which will truly give back to our city and our environment.
We are also exploring the possibility of a wind turbine to generate power to our facility. We welcome anyone who wants to see our green roof or any of our other initiatives to stop down and see us or e-mail us with any questions.
